Well, our wireless internet is broken and has been for a few weeks now. It is EXTREMELY frustrating. Especially when I'm taking an online class. Anyway, I rarely have time to make it to campus to do homework, let alone blog, so I figured I'd give a super quick update. On account of I should be doing my homework:
ETHAN IS WALKING!! It is soooooo much fun! He's been walking for about a month now. He caught on so quick. He took his first official steps, taught himself to stand up, and started walking everywhere all within a week. It was crazy! He is so smart. :) The average age that babies start walking is 13 months, so he is definitely above average. Haha! It really surprised me. I didn't think he'd start walking until at least 12 months, especially since he's only been crawling for 2. Crazy.
I decided Ethan is a backwards baby. He would rather stand in the shopping cart than sit in it like normal babies. If we are lucky enough to even get him to sit in the cart, he has to sit sideways. He would rather walk in the street, than on the sidewalk. He would rather sleep in a bed than a crib. He would rather wake up 3 to 4 times during the night than just get some sleep. (yes that's right. I haven't slept through the night in 11 months.) He would rather play with light sockets, light switches, cords, and all things electrical, than all of his fabulous toys that are taking over our living room. (he does love his cars and balls though) there's many more things that make Ethan a backwards baby but that's all my sleep deprived mind can come up with at the moment. We have a lot of cute pictures to post but who knows when we will have internet. So I'm giving everyone something to look forward too....

Jace and I went on a double date with his sister Aubree and her husban Micah. We don't get to see them too much because they live so far away, so we really enjoyed spending time with them!
We thought this picture was funny because we each hit our balls once, and they ended up right next to each other almost perfectly spaced apart! We thought it was pretty crazy!

So this picture looks like Jace is holding him up this way but he's not. Changing Ethan's diaper these days is a nightmare, he'll twist and turn and arch his back, and cry and whine until it's over. It's not very fun. But luckily it's just a stage.

Like the shades?! A bit big - but so cute!

These next few are really similar. I just couldn't decide which ones to post!
I better explain this one - Uncle Jantz (Jace's brother) made this for Ethan because his first 2 initials are E.T. (Ethan Tyler). He gave it to him when he was born with a note saying "Welcome to Planet Earth" It was really funny. We just wanted to make sure we had a picture!

Those eyes...I LOVE THOSE EYES!
"Look at me and my bad self!"
Jace was trying to teach Ethan how to be "cool"
I think he caught on pretty well, what do you think?

Ethan is doing great on his tummy. He can lift his head as high as it will go. He's been doing this for about 2 weeks now, and he's not even 3 months old!! He is so strong!Posted by Jace and Jill 7 comments

Well, I am not the most cheerful pregnant woman, I have to admit. If you're considering having a baby, don't come to me. Pregnancy has been SO hard! I'm so excited for it to be over. I have about a month left and can't wait. I don't know if it's normal, but I have severe pelvic and groin pain. So much so that I can barely walk, or even move when I'm laying down. The doctor told me today that I'm dilated to 1 cm! Woo hoo! Only 9 more to go! :) I think about going into labor all day long! I'm so nervous! I also think about holding my baby. I am so stinkin excited it's ridiculous. I am so ready for him to be here. I caught some virus. I swear it's the flu. I can't swallow, my head is pounding, my ears feel like they're gonna explode, and I'm achey all over. It makes sleeping a lot harder than it already is. I really hope I can get over it by the time I have the baby. I love feeling my baby move, even when he kicks so hard it kinda hurts. It still makes me happy. I heard the hospital food is amazing, so I'm kinda excited about that. Basically it's just a waiting game from here on out! So there ya go- an update full of random thoughts. P.S. Picture coming soon. Brace yourselves.

Well, Jace and I had our first (and much needed) Dr's appointment yesterday. I know every one's first ultrasound looks identical to this, but it's still so much fun to look at! :) It's crazy to think that there's a little human growing inside me. The baby was bouncing around and waving it's arms. It made us really happy. The doctor said everything looked great, which is always a relief to hear. He also told us that I was a week and a half farther along than we thought! That was good news. So that puts me at about 14 weeks. We're due November 3rd and counting down the days! I left the office all smiles, this pregnancy has been pretty tough for me and it really helped to actually see our baby. We get to find out the sex of the baby on June 2nd. I have no idea how I'm supposed to wait that long for such exciting news, but I'll try to find a way.Posted by Jace and Jill 4 comments

I chose this particular picture to announce the Arizona news becuase every time I get together with my sisters, we go to Pizza Mart (which is where we are in this pic). We love that place! They have awesome pizza, yummy ice, and cheap yet still delicious, ice cream cones. I fly to Arizona on the 15th of April and we're planning on going right when I get there. So pray I'm done throwing up by then!Posted by Jace and Jill 3 comments

Ok ok, I'll add a new post. (Ashley) I'm just sooo busy with school I never get around to it. And now I'm sick because I'm pregnant! Yep, it's true, (it's not an April fool's joke.) :) As happy as I am to be 8 weeks pregnant I am absolutely miserable. I've thrown up every day for the past 4 weeks! UGH! Yesterday I broke a record with an amazing 4 times! Ya, I know, I'm pretty cool that way. Throwing up does make for stronger abs though...my stomach muscles are burning and aching all day long because of the stress they've been under. Or maybe I'm just out of shape! Who knows! I wake up about 4 times a night because my bladder is being pushed on. I seriously just want to wear a grandma diaper and just sleep through the whole night. (Jace didn't like that idea). I go through a box of saltines a week. Some days I have to force myself just to eat them to get something in my stomach. But hey, it's all worth it, right? I haven't gone to school in four weeks either. I think I'm going to have to take all my classes over again, which really stinks. Jace and I were feeling really strongly for a while that we should start our family but decided to wait until summer. We didn't really even try and we ended up getting pregnant! I guess Heavenly Father really wants us to have this baby. It really is a huge blessing though. I have so many health problems, (some related to not being able to get pregnant) so my whole life I've been worried I'd never be able to have a family. Over the course of our marriage Jace and I both have prepared ourselves for that option and new it would be ok if it were to happen. So we really are thrilled for this exciting opportunity. It took Jace 3 pregnancy tests to finally believe it! Well, only 8 weeks into it and I already want it to be over so I can see our baby.

So... Jace and I decided to be cool and join the blog club! (woo hoo!!) So now maybe we can keep in touch with our friends better than we do. Jace and I got married June 19th and have been finishing up school in Rexburg ever since. BYUI treats us well, we love it here. We both plan to finish school. I'm majoring in Health Science and Jace is majoring in History Education. We problably graduate um.... in a million years. :) We have a month off for Christmas break and we get to see family on both sides which we're eccstatic about. Wish we had more to tell ya, but you may have to stay tuned to get the copmlete inside scoop on the Johnson family!!
